Job Description
Summary
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts and making payments accurately and on time.
Essential Job Functions
Accounts Payable
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system and assign appropriate general ledger codes.
- Process weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile multiple credit card statements with supporting documentation each month.
- Review and process employee reimbursements.
Document & Reporting
- Obtain necessary approvals for all payment transactions.
- Assist with month-end close process related to accounts payable.
- Maintain accurate filing records.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.
- Assist in responding to both internal departments and external vendors regarding payment issues.
Requirements
Experience Required
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Education Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate’s Degree in Business, or related field is preferred
